How do have focus? Increase concentration? Be Inspired, live in the moment, ditch the negative people, change your meaning, and listen to today's Life Story. In Today's episode... Focus! The main or central point of something, especially of attention or interest.

Focus! The main or central point of something, especially of attention or interest.

Hello, and welcome to "Life Stories." The place where we compress life lessons into short stories so that you can grow faster in the game called living.

We will need you to be focused for this one, so please put all the distractions away, take a deep breath, clear your mind, and join us on this last day of July.

There once was a woman who wanted to become a writer. She was close to poor as she could be. She had a child to care for, she had no money, and at a certain point, she had no job.

But, she had the focus to keep on writing. When she wanted to publish her book, everyone turned her down. But she was strong. She was focused on her dream. She started to write her first book at 25. At 32, it finally got published after her constant focus and striving to get it out to the world. The book was "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone." And after hard work and precision-like focus, she published the final chapter 10 years later, when she was 42, with seven books, the most-sold author, and the wealthiest author in history.

This happens only when you focus on one thing and one thing only. Imagine that you have 1000 doors. You must close 999 and enter only one. This is what focus is. This is how success happens. It's not overnight. It's not by constantly starting over. It emerges by will, hard work, and single-pointed focus.

Here is something to think about.

Don't look around who is watching you. Don't look for approval or recognition. Don't listen to the haters, and don't look at your disappointments. You are self-made. No one has the right to shape you. There is no plan B! When a plan fails, it's time for a plan one-point one.

Keep your eyes on the prize and focus on the goal. Today you are last. In one year, you will be in the middle. In five years, you will be at the top!

On this last day of July, ahead of the hot summer of August, we will leave you with the following:

Stay focused, and don't allow distractions to fill your mind or derail you from taking continued action.

Stop minding other people's business. What they are thinking about you is their business. Don't mind it. Be focused.

Success doesn't happen overnight. Keep your eye on the prize, and don't look back.

"Set your goal, don't give up when you face obstacles, and stay focused, as the power within is truly amazing!"
