#11 01/08/2022 – July Morning

There I was on a July morning

Looking for love

With the strength

Of a new day dawning

And the beautiful sun

At the sound

Of the first bird singing

I was leaving for home

With the storm

And the night behind me

And a road of my own

With the day came the resolution

Ill be looking for you.....

One of the most iconic songs by Uriah Heep. If you are not a European, or more specifically, if you are not from Bulgaria, most likely you won't understand what I mean. I will put a link for July Morning here for anyone interested.

Now that we all know about the grand tradition, I want to reflect on it today. It is the first day of July, which is the month that indicates that half of the year is gone, the other half is yet to begin, and the summer is about to reach its peak.

It is a day that gives you joy when you see the sunrise with hundreds of other people. Strangers lost souls like you, looking for a moment of tranquillity and calm. I still remember how John Walton used to sing his anthem on this day, along with many others. It's funny... I was 20 when I attended my first July morning. Now, here I am at 30. A legend is gone, and the world is unrecognizable. Everything has changed, and yet, somehow, everything is the same. Everything is the same, and yet somehow, everything has changed. Did I grow in that decade? Yes, I have, but have I?

My hunger for freedom is the same, yet I am in a 9 to 5. Even if it is the best of all the rest, in my soul my life is yet again in chains. Funny day! Happy, but with a stoic view. Angry, but with a smile in an endless mind.

Anyway! It's the 1st day of July. It is also Friday as well. Happy weekend everybody, with a road of our own.
